I just wanted to thank you- you were the only person/organization/firm that remembered the tragic electrocution of Jodie Lane 20 years ago. We were expecting that Consolidated Edison or the NY State Public Service Commission would have marked this somber occasion.

There is a misconception that Consolidated Edison only became concerned about stray voltage after Lane's death. However, internal documents from a 2017 civil lawsuit provided by ConEd show the utility was aware of stray voltage issues from at least the year 2000, and that they had sunk a large amount of R&D money into developing technology that would detect these problems.
